Camping St. Avit Loisirs is a real top campsite in the heart of the Dordogne and is the ideal base for exploring the region. Although you won’t want to leave the campground because there is so much to do. The amazing water park is a true paradise for all-day fun. In the heated indoor pool you can swim, play and relax in one of the three Jacuzzis. The outdoor pool is absolutely amazing, with three pools, a separate children’s pool, a fantastic water playground for the little ones and multiple slides. Slide down the 65-meter-long slide or float quietly in a swimming basket on the “Crazy River.” Of course, there are also several sports options, such as mini golf, tennis and table tennis. 2. Camping Le Grand Dague *****

Camping Le Grand Dague is a delightful 5-star campsite from Sandaya. This is an ideal campsite for families with children because of all the facilities offered. In fact, this campground has the largest water park in the Dordogne with several pools and slides. 3. Camping Le Val d'Ussel ****.

At Camping Le Val d’Ussel, relax in the Périgord countryside. At this small-scale campsite in the Dordogne, with only 175 pitches, you and your family will unwind in green surroundings. 4. Camping Le Coiroux ****

Surrounded by beautiful forests and located near the enchanting Lake Coiroux, Camping Le Coiroux in the Dordogne is a dream for nature lovers. 5. Camping Les Gorges du Chambon ****

Camping Les Gorges du Chambon is a small campsite with an idyllic location, surrounding an old farm from the 17th century and right on the banks of the river Tardoire. 7. Camping Pomport Beach. ****

Camping Pomport Beach is the place if you are looking for a wonderful quiet camping vacation with the whole family. And if you like water fun! In fact, this campground has a brand new water park and, in addition, it is located directly on a swimming lake with a fine sandy beach. The outdoor pool is nicely landscaped and has a hot tub and a separate area for toddlers. In addition, there are 3 slides to slide down. 8. Camping Le Gibanel ****

Right on the Dordogne River is the beautiful Camping Le Gibanel, on the estate of a beautiful 13th century castle. The campground is surrounded by forests, making it a wonderful place to unwind. 9. Camping Le Paradis. *****

Camping Le Paradis did not win the ACSI Award 2023 for “Best Campsite” for nothing: this is in fact one of the top campsites in the Dordogne, where you will enjoy luxury, wellness and tranquility.
