Camping Aminess Avalona is a 5-star campsite located directly by the sea, near the small and charming coastal town of Povljana. Thanks to its unique location on a point of the island, the entire campground is surrounded by the crystal clear sea. As a result, you have a view of this beautiful sea almost everywhere in the campground.

In addition to a lovely relaxing pool with a number of slides, a very large number of the rental properties also have their own private pool! As a result, the campsite has as many as 180 private pools overlooking the sea, located near your own accommodation. The campground is located directly on the beautiful Adriatic Sea, making it easy to walk to the beautiful (pebble) beach.

Location and environment

Aminess Avalona Camping Resort is located on the beautiful island of Pag in Croatia about 1600 km drive from the Netherlands. What is unique is the location of the campsite by the sea: the campsite is located in a point of the island and is therefore surrounded by the sea everywhere. Pag is the second largest island in the Adriatic and is easily accessible from the mainland thanks to the bridge that connects the island to the mainland. You can also take a ferry to the island, reducing your mileage. The island is known for its salt production, as well as for Pag’s sheep cheese, Paški Sir.

The island of Pag is rocky and somewhat like a moonscape. There are several historical attractions, such as the old town of Pag where history dates back to Roman times. There are numerous attractions, including the church, defense tower and monastery. The town of Povljana is close to campsite Aminess Avalona. Known for its agriculture and viticulture, this area is a green oasis in the rocky landscape of the island of Pag. There is a wide choice of restaurants and taverns and you can take beautiful beach walks. In Novalja you will find many cozy restaurants and bars, as well as a spacious promenade to stroll along. But in addition, there is a Roman aqueduct that you can visit, as well as The Church of Our Lady of the Rosaray, which dates from the 17th century. Simuni is a cozy fishing village located directly on a picturesque bay with crystal clear waters and a beautiful beach.

Also, the coastline is great; it is very rocky and has many bays & beaches where you can enjoy the sun and peace, as many bays are secluded. Popular beaches are Zrće beach, where young people can party, and Planjka-Trincél beach which is a real family beach and where children can play safely. And don’t forget to visit the beaches of Simuni.

There are three different camping spots to choose from. We will describe them all below:

Camping spot Avalona Mega Luxury Mare with pool – the most luxurious camping spot this is! You have your own pool in your camping spot overlooking the sea, how luxurious do you want it? The camping area is up to 200 m2 and can accommodate up to 9 people. Of course, you have water, drainage and electricity, and in addition, Wifi is also included.
Pitch Mega Luxury Mare with pool – this pitch is almost the same as the one above. So also up to 200 m2 in size, suitable for up to 9 people, water, drainage, electricity and Wifi are included. Here, too, you have a private pool and sea view.
Premium Pitch – The Premium Pitch is a camping pitch between 60 and 100 m2 in size suitable for 6-9 people. You are on the 2nd and 3rd row from the sea, so you have (almost) a sea view from your own place. Water, drainage and electricity are included as is Wifi.
Pitch Superior Pitch – the Superior Pitch is similar to the Premium Pitch only here you are a little further from the beach, namely on the 4th to the 7th row.
Pitch Comfort Pitch – the Comfort Pitch is also between 60-100 m2, also has water, drainage, electricity and Wifi but you are not near the sea here.

And of course you have a private pool here to enjoy the sun, peace and quiet and your family. Bed linen, towels and final cleaning are included.
Amber Sea Luxury Holiday Home with Pool – the Amber Sea Luxury Holiday Home has ocean views while you lay in your private pool! This accommodation is 39 m2 in size and can accommodate up to 5 people. The spacious terrace is equipped with luxury garden furniture. There are two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen. Bed linen, towels and final cleaning are included.
Luxury Holiday home with pool – In the Luxury Holiday Home you will enjoy your own private pool with up to 5 people. This accommodation is 39 m2 in size and has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Bed linen, towels and final cleaning are included. These accommodations are in the 2nd to 5th row from the sea.
Family Premium Mare Holiday Home – the Family Premium Mare Holiday Home is 33 m2 in size and can accommodate as many as 7 people! There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The stone terrace has luxurious garden furniture, including two sunbeds. Again, bed linen, towels and final cleaning are included.
Premium Holiday Home – the Premium Holiday Home is also a beautiful rental that can accommodate up to 5 people. This accommodation is 33 m2, has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. As with all other accommodations, bed linen, towels and final cleaning are included.

Swimming

Unique to Aminess Avalone Camping Resort are the over 180 private pools that can be found here at the rental accommodations but also at some of the camping pitches. In addition to these private pools, there is also a beautiful water park open to all. The relaxation pool is surrounded by luxurious sun beds where you can relax and enjoy the sea view. In the family pool, children can play happily.

Besides the pool, of course, you can cool off in the crystal clear waters of the Adriatic. Rarely have you seen such a blue sea as here on the island of Pag. The sea invites you to snorkel, swim and for all kinds of water sports. How about kayaking, surfing or Stand Up Paddle? At Aminess Avalona Camping Resort, you can enjoy delicious food at one of the resort’s restaurants and bars. The sea views, luxurious decor and delicious food invite you to take a seat in the restaurant or bar. Choose a summer salad or steak or one of the other many dishes while enjoying the beautiful sunset with a wine or gin-tonic in your hand.

Of course, you can also pick up food there to eat at your own accommodation. There is also a supermarket and bakery at the campground.

Animation

There is an active animation team at campsite Aminess Avalone Camping Resort. They will, in part, ensure that you and the kids have a great time at this campground. All kinds of fun activities are organized for the children where they both enjoy playing but also learn through play. In the Miramì Fun Factory, they will play fun and educational games and get to know other children. Kids will love the mascot, Miramì the octopus.

In addition to the mini club, a variety of sports activities such as pilates and yoga classes are organized at the beach. In the evening there is evening entertainment to end your day well.

Sports & Recreation

At campsite Aminess Avalone you can indulge in sports. There are many different sports to choose from, such as fitness and outdoor fitness. There is a multi-sport court where you can play soccer and basketball. Furthermore, the crystal clear sea invites various water sports activities. Wha d you think of surfing, StandUp Paddle and kayaking. Or join a Pilates or Yoga class at the beach. In addition, you can take beautiful walks and the nearby ornithological reserve Veliko Blato is a must see. You spot rare birds and can also fish there.

At the campground there is a cool STEM playground where the kids can play nice. A STEM playground invites every child to play and think about science, technology and math in a playful way. For example, through the swing they transfer energy, they climb and find connections and so on.

Because the campground is car-free, children can explore the campground at their leisure and safely.

Stores

For your shopping you can go to the supermarket in the campground. There is also a bakery where you buy nice fresh bread and at the patisserie you buy tasty sweets.
