Camping Polari

Camping Polari

This true family campground is located directly on the Adriatic Sea and just below the village of Rovinj. While the campground is large with plenty of pitches and accommodations, the abundance of greenery still provides that ultimate, Mediterranean vacation feeling. In certain areas of the campground, however, it can feel crowded here in high season. There are plenty of water facilities here, making Camping Polari perfect for families with young children. There is also plenty to do here for older youth; the village has bars and a disco. Winner ACSI Award 2023 ‘Funniest campsite for kids’. The campground has recently invested heavily in its sanitary, which as a result is now in tip-top order. One way to reach the village of Rovinj is via a beautiful footpath along the sea, but you can just as easily take a cab boat or use a bus service. Bring your own boat to this campground, as it has a jetty.

Restaurants

As for restaurants, you have all the choices in the campground alone. Head to Feral for freshly caught fish and shellfish from nearby Lim Bay. This is prepared simply on the barbecue, but you can also opt for “na buzaru,” a local method of preparation. “Buzaru” in Croatian literally means “stew,” but now your fish or shellfish is simmered with olive oil, wine, garlic, breadcrumbs and fresh herbs. The view of the bay at this restaurant is insane and ideal for a romantic evening out. At Brnistra Grill you will find a good choice for dinner or a light lunch. Whether you like meat, fish or vegetables, you can eat scrumptious food here. But if you’re in the mood for something quick and tasty, then again, you should head to Adria Snack. Bars are set up on the beach and near the pool, as well as a Fresh Corner, where you’ll find fruit and refreshments. Finally, on the beach you will find the Ice Corner, for ice creams!
