Camping Domaine de la Yole is a large 5-star campsite in the south of France. Located in a poplar forest, the campground offers many shaded areas. It is a lively vacation village with all the facilities you need during your vacation: a water park with 9 slides, sports facilities, plenty of stores and amenities, a spa and its own vineyard. In addition, Domaine de la Yole is close to the wide sandy beach of Valras Plage. It is a real family campground: families with young children will have a great time here, but older youth will also have fun in the pool and in the nightclub. Consequently, there are many teenagers at Camping Domaine de la Yole.
Nearby, there is plenty to explore. There are several beautiful towns to visit, there are several cycling routes that are worthwhile and in addition you can canoe or take a canyoning trip on the river L’Orb.
There are very many different accommodations for rent at Camping Domaine de la Yole, from a (super luxury) mobile home, safari tent to a luxury treehouse. If you have your own camping equipment, you can choose from a variety of pitches, including those with private sanitary facilities. It is possible to bring your pet in many rental properties.
Camping Domaine de la Yole is located in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of southern France. This region is known for its vast sandy beaches and beautiful nature. The campground is in a poplar and pine forest and is near Valras Plage. This village is located directly on the beach and has a promenade with restaurants and terraces. There are always markets in the village on Mondays and Fridays. Valras Plage beach is about 700 meters from the campsite. Through the side exit of the campground you walk directly to the beach. Note: It is difficult to walk there with a stroller since the last part involves loose sand.
The campground has its own vineyard and you can buy the tastiest wines in the on-site wine store. If you want to taste them first, a tasting in wine cellar is possible. The winery is just outside the campground, a walk of about 10 minutes. A visit to the vineyard is also possible. In the surrounding area you can take beautiful bike rides. At the campground you can rent bikes, if you don’t bring them yourself.
In addition, there are plenty of opportunities for a fun day out. Visit one of the beautiful cities like Montpellier or Nîmes. Or visit Carcassonne, a beautiful medieval fortified city that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In addition, Perpignan, the region’s capital city, is also worth a visit. The village of Béziers, one of the oldest towns in France, is also well worth a visit. There is a beautiful cathedral, Cathédrale Saint-Nazaire, which you can visit and from where you have a nice view of the region. A walk through the beautiful city park is also recommended; there are playgrounds, waterfalls and birds to spot. The village has beautiful old streets & squares with plenty of restaurants and cafes for a bite to eat and a drink.
Several castles of the Katharan can be found in this region. The most beautiful castles are Peyrepertuse, Quéribus, Monségur, Puivert and Puilarens. There are also other castles to be found, such as Lastours, Aguilar, Arques and Termes.
Fontfroide Abbey is close to the campsite. This abbey is an attraction of Languedoc Roussillon region. The abbey is open to the public year-round and you will find a 12th century church, beautiful capitular halls, buildings for monks and thousands of rose bushes.
The cave of Clamouse is a stalactite cave and is located in the Hérault department. It is one of the most beautiful caves in this region and a guided tour is an incredibly fun day out.
There are three basic types of pitches at Camping Domaine de la Yole. All pitches have electricity, a water tap and a place for waste water and can accommodate 6 people You park your car at your pitch. Book the camping pitches through

. We describe the different types of pitches below:
– Parasol 1: this is the simplest and smallest camping spot available of about 80m2. You get 6 amps of power and is almost always shaded.
– Parasol 2: This pitch is between 85 and 100 m2 in size and has 6 amps of electricity.
– Parasol 3: This pitch is the largest of the basic pitches and is 100m2. Here you get 10 amps of electricity.
Then there are some more exclusive pitches:
– Parasol 2 with picnic table: the pitch is up to 115m2 and has a picnic table on the pitch as an extra. The picnic table is equipped with a shade cloth.
– Parasol 3 Premium with private bathroom: this pitch is 100m2, has a picnic table and you have your own private bathroom. Please note that these facilities are located a few meters from your pitch.
– Parasol 3 Premium+ with kitchenette: this is the most luxurious pitch and is between 100 and 200m2. Here you have access to private bathroom facilities and your own kitchenette with refrigerator and sink. Please note that you cannot cook here.
There is only one sanitary building in use, which is a bit few for such a large campsite. However, there are then also fewer pitches than rental accommodations, and in addition, many pitches have private sanitary facilities. Upon arrival the plumbing was not very clean, fortunately it got better. All showers are equipped with their own sink, but therefore do not have a bench to sit on. However, there is a hanging hook for your bag, a shelf and mirror. The general sink looks modern and is very deep, but is therefore not convenient for children because the push button is too far away (and you have to push hard) and they cannot reach it. Children’s sanitary facilities are available, including children’s toilets and a baby bathtub. However, there are thus no separate sinks (with soap) for children. Two separate toilets/showers are available for disabled persons, they are located at both entrances of the sanitary building.
Covered dishwashing areas are available at each corner of the sanitary building. Also, you will find washing areas for a hand wash.
If you want to do laundry during your stay at Camping Domaine de la Yole, self-service washing machines & tumble dryers are available. You’ll find them between the bakery and the food court. If you need an iron and ironing board, you can borrow them for free (with a deposit) from the Loca Club. This also applies to vacuum cleaners, by the way.
As for rental accommodation at Camping Domaine de la Yole, you really do have an awful lot to choose from: there are over 50 types of accommodation for rent! With air conditioning, wooden verandas, canopies or umbrellas. A comfort equipment or a premium exclusive: there is a type of mobile home for everyone. Many rental properties allow you to bring your dog. This is indicated for each accommodation. Accommodations are scattered throughout the campground.
Roan has many different mobile homes from their range available at this campsite. Book the mobile home of your choice directly with Roan or through Allcamps and LuxCamp. The different types are highlighted below.
Supreme: The Supreme mobile homes are the most luxurious mobile homes in Roan’s offer. They come standard with air conditioning, veranda including lounge sofa, dishwasher and a large refrigerator. The master bedroom has an extra-large double bed (2.10m long/1.60m wide) which are equipped with an Auping mattress. Bed linen (beds made on arrival!), towels and final cleaning included in the price as standard! There are three types of the Supreme mobile home and are described below:
– Supreme Plus Lounge Premium Zone: Roan installed these brand new mobile homes at Domaine de la Yole in 2023 and they are truly beautiful. They are Roan’s showpiece for a reason and are therefore the most luxurious mobile home in their range. The covered porch has a spacious lounge sofa, hanging chair and pleasant garden furniture. There is also an additional sun deck equipped with two luxurious sun beds, and you have a gas barbecue and a luxurious XL grill at your disposal. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. These caravans can accommodate up to 8 people. At Camping Domaine de la Yole, these luxury mobile homes are in a beautifully landscaped area and it looks fantastic. These mobile homes are close to the central plaza with stores, restaurants and the swimming pool. You will really enjoy a wonderful relaxing vacation here.
– Supreme Lounge Premium Zone: this mobile home is almost identical to the Supreme Plus Lounge Premium Zone, but has only 1 bathroom. Also missing is the separate sun deck on the veranda. A total of 7 people can stay overnight.
– Supreme Lounge: the Supreme Lounge is not in a separate district, but otherwise has almost all the same features as the Supreme Lounge Premium Zone. There are three bedrooms and a total of up to 7 people can sleep.
Premium: Roan’s Premium mobile homes also belong to the luxury range of mobile homes. They come standard with a dishwasher, large refrigerator with freezer, spacious wooden (covered) porch or decking and air conditioning. The differences in the three Premium types are as follows:
– Premium Plus Lounge: this large 35m2 mobile home has a large 19m2 lounge veranda including a spacious lounge sofa, luxury garden set, bucket chairs and a luxury lounger. It can accommodate up to 6/7 people, there are three bedrooms, a bathroom and a separate toilet. Final cleaning is included!
– Premium Lounge: this mobile home is the same as the Premium Plus Lounge except that the final cleaning is not included here.
– Premium: this complete mobile home with luxury equipment can accommodate up to 5 people. There are two bedrooms with 2 bathrooms, 1 of which is an ensuite. This mobile home does not have a wooden porch but a wooden deck with a shade cloth.
Comfort: the Comfort mobile home from Roan is a well-equipped accommodation that is very functional. They come standard with air conditioning, a separate toilet and a nice veranda. Furthermore, the differences in the various types are as follows:
– Comfort Plus: the Comfort Plus is the most booked Roan accommodation. And that’s not surprising, because this is a spacious 35m2 mobile home with 3 bedrooms and a partially covered porch. It can sleep up to 6/7 people and has a bathroom with a spacious shower stall and sink. There is a separate toilet. The wooden, semi-covered, veranda is 15m2 and is equipped with luxury garden furniture including adjustable chairs, 3 bucket chairs and a lounger. A barbecue or grill is also provided.
– Comfort Lounge: the Comfort Lounge is 32m2 and has a luxurious wooden veranda including a spacious lounge sofa. There are three bedrooms for up to 6 people. The kitchen is equipped with a tall refrigerator including a freezer. A barbecue is available for tasty grill meals.
– Comfort: of the mobile home Comfort there are two variants, one of 32m2 large and one of 24m2 large. Both can accommodate up to 6 people, with the larger variant having three bedrooms and the smaller one 2 bedrooms – however, the smaller variant states that you should actually stay there with up to 5 people to keep it comfortable. The wooden veranda is partially covered, or equipped with a party tent, and is equipped with garden furniture and two adjustable chairs and 4 bucket chairs. In addition, a barbecue is available.
Classic: The Classic mobile home is the most accessible mobile home you can book with Roan. Everything is included and at a reasonable price. The mobile home is about 24m2 in size and has 2 bedrooms. The bedrooms have a double bed and a bunk bed with a single bed, or two single beds and a bed across. The living room has room for one berth. The wooden veranda is equipped with a half canopy or a party tent, 2 adjustable chairs, 4 bucket chairs and a barbecue or grill. For your own comfort, it is advised to stay here with no more than 5 people.

Ultimate: If you want to book Homair’s most luxurious and newest accommodations for exceptional comfort, book Ultimate. There are Ultimate Chalets and Ultimate mobile homes. The chalets look great, are in a good spot on the campsite (near all the amenities and the pool), are large (35-38m2) and are brand new. This chalet has an XXL large covered veranda of no less than 18m2 equipped with garden furniture, sun beds and a hanging chair. There are three bedrooms that can accommodate 6 adults. And the great thing is: linens, towels, wifi and and final cleaning are included in the price!
The Ultimate mobile home is the largest mobile home in the Eurocamp & Homair range and has a sleek and fresh design. You have a very spacious living room with lots of light, 3 bedrooms, a kitchen equipped with a dishwasher and there is a spacious bathroom. The very large, partially covered, wooden terrace is equipped with modern garden furniture and lovely sunbeds. You will enjoy all the luxuries including made beds, towels and final cleaning.
Premium: Homair’s Premium mobile homes are the best and most new mobile homes they have available. They are all fully and modernly furnished, with most variants even having 2 bathrooms. You have the option of choosing the Exclusive Package with the Premium mobile homes. This includes bed linen, towels, wifi (for 1 device) and final cleaning. There are many different types of the Premium mobile home. So you have the Lounge variant, where you have a nice (semi-)covered porch including a spacious lounge sofa. It is available in a 2 or 3 bedroom variant. If you are going with a large group of 8, choose the Premium Exclusive for 8. Then you also have the Premium XL, suitable for 6 people and equipped with 3 bedrooms. There is also a version suitable for 5 people. The largest Premium mobile home is about 44m2, the smallest about 25m2.
Comfort: The Comfort mobile home from Homair is a very well equipped, cozy and functional mobile home. Again, you have very wide range of different variants of the Comfort mobile home. If you are vacationing with 2, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 people, there is a variant available for all group sizes. In addition, you can choose between a spacious wooden, covered porch with lounge sofa or, on the contrary, choose the most inexpensive variant with a covered terrace by means of a sunshade. If you want 2, 3 or even 4 bedrooms, all that is also possible.
Classic: The Classic mobile home is the most affordable mobile home in Homair’s range. They are generally older, smaller and more luxurious. They range from 20m2 to 35m2 and can accommodate 4, 5 or 6 people and have 2 or 3 bedrooms. If you want more comfort, book one of the other variants described above.
In addition to the above mobile homes, Homair also offers beautiful other accommodations. How about sleeping in the sky? Then book the amazing Cabane Tree House. This treehouse has a covered porch, bunk beds and a double bed. It even has a bathroom!
There are also beautiful Super Lodge tents if you prefer to sleep in a safari tent. The Super Lodge is available for 6 and 5 people, measuring 38m2 and 34m2 respectively. This is glamping as glamping is meant to be, that is, with a private bathroom, two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and even air conditioning. The covered terrace has a picnic table and luxurious loungers. They are cozy together in a separate field and it looks very nice thanks to the tropical garden with palm trees. The field is playfully laid out and gives your children the freedom to play there but not yet get lost. The Super Lodge tents also have enough privacy so you don’t look directly into the neighbor’s house.
You also have a choice of 4 different apartments, suitable for 4 to 6 people. With some apartments, you can also book the Exclusive Pack, which means you don’t have to bring your own bed linen and towels or take care of final cleaning.

Eurocamp is also well represented at Camping Domaine de la Yole. In addition to several mobile homes, they also offer safari tents and bungalow tents at this campground. You book all Eurocamp accommodations through Eurocamp itself, Allcamps or LuxCamp.
Ultimate: The Ultimate mobile home is the largest mobile home in Eurocamp & Homair’s range and has a sleek and fresh design. You have a very spacious living room with lots of light, 3 bedrooms, a kitchen equipped with a dishwasher and there is a spacious bathroom. The very large, partially covered, wooden terrace is equipped with modern garden furniture and lovely sunbeds. You will enjoy all the luxuries including made beds, towels and final cleaning.
Premium: Eurocamp’s Premium mobile home is their most popular mobile home. They have modern furnishings and an airy feel. The kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave and tall refrigerator. Whereas the 4-person variant has a covered terrace, the 6-person variant has a lounge terrace with a lounge sofa.
Comfort: the Comfort mobile home is practically furnished and offers plenty of space for the whole family. Are you with 4, 6 or 8 people: there is a suitable Comfort mobile home for every group size. The differences are mainly in the outdoor terrace: do you want a small terrace, a beautiful covered terrace or a lounge terrace? The choice is yours. There is also a special version that is wheelchair-friendly. All rooms are wheelchair accessible and the kitchen and bathroom are also adapted accordingly. The bedrooms have raised beds for added convenience. A ramp provides access to the terrace.
Classic: the Classic mobile home is Eurocamp’s cheapest mobile home. It is a traditional mobile home equipped with a wooden terrace with an umbrella and is generally a bit smaller. If you are vacationing with 4, 6 or even 8 people, there is a Classic mobile home available for your situation.
Safari tent: at Camping Domaine de la Yole you can also rent safari tents. These are 40m2 in size and can accommodate up to 5 people. There are two sleeping cabins, a fully equipped kitchen and a covered terrace including garden furniture. The safari tents are arranged together and among the camping spots. If you want to bring your dog, you can do so at one of the 2 available types.
Bungalow tent: if you want to camp but do not have your own camping equipment, a bungalow tent is a good solution. This tent 23m2 in size, has 2 sleeping cabins and can accommodate 4 to 6 people. You have an umbrella for shade, a small refrigerator and a basic kitchenette equipped with a 4-burner stove. There is a bungalow tent available where you can also stay with your dog.

Grand 730-2: this is a fairly basic mobile home and offers you all the benefits of camping but with a full bathroom and kitchen. This mobile home is 30m2 and has a wooden veranda that is (half) covered, air conditioning, 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. In the kitchen there is a sofa bed that allows up to 6 people to stay overnight. You will find these mobile homes on site numbers #7054, 7055, 7061 and 7065 (see map).
Riviera 750-2 /R750: This mobile home is 30m2 and can accommodate a maximum of 6 people. There are two bedrooms and in the kitchen you will find a sofa bed for up to 2 people. The wooden veranda is (partially) covered and equipped with garden furniture and a lounger. The mobile home is air-conditioned. You will find these mobile homes on site numbers #4109, 4111, 4115, 4119 and 4121 (see map).
Grand 800-3: this mobile home is 32m2 and has three bedrooms. There is also a sofa bed in the kitchen. The wooden veranda is partially covered and is equipped with garden furniture. You will find these mobile homes on site numbers #4092, 4094, 4096, 4098 and 4107 (see map).
Grand 860-3: The Grand860-3 is the largest mobile home offered by Venue Holidays at this campground. It is 34m2 in size and has 3 bedrooms. The wooden veranda is (half) covered and also equipped with garden furniture. The kitchen is part of the living room. Of course, this mobile home is air-conditioned. You will find these mobile homes on site numbers #4113, 4117, 4123, 4125, 7054 and 7056 (see map).

At Camping Domaine de la Yole, you will not lack anything in terms of water fun. There are several (heated) pools and there is an indoor pool. The pool complex is large but as a result not as orderly. At the entrance you have a nice pool suitable for the whole family. It is not very deep which also allows children to stand there. You get to play and throw balls around. Then there is a large deep pool where you can dive and also play with balls. The wading pool is described as lagoon pool, which is true that it is not deep. But keep in mind that the surface is not worthy of a lagoon pool. It is very hard and at the slides there are sometimes extra mats to protect children’s skin. In the paddling pool is a playhouse with slides and there are a few individual pieces of playground equipment, which need maintenance. In the hot tub, you can bubble nicely.
For those who like slides, this is a very nice campground. Especially the green slide is spectacular because of its speed and the show of all colors of light show on the inside. If you wait at the top, you have a good view of the campground. There are also 3 pentagliss slides and a traditional slide. They all have their own water tank, so you don’t end up in a pool. Way safer!
There is also an indoor pool with a separate water playground for younger children. That one is very nice and has fun play equipment in the water. Personally, we didn’t think the pool looked very attractive due to the less clear water and acoustics. But even when the weather is not so good, you can still swim at Camping Domaine de la Yole.
If you love the beach and the sea, this campground is the right place for you. Because the campsite is just 700 meters from the beautiful sandy beach of Valras Plage. You walk there through the side gate of the campground, for which you need a code. The closer you get to the beach, the mullier the sand becomes. With a stroller or bicycle, it is then a little more difficult to walk/bike.
The pool is quite crowded in high season. Finding a free lounger is a challenge. There is a sunbathing area available, but the artificial turf gets very hot making that less attractive as well. Some areas of the pool complex are also in need of maintenance. For example, the tiles around the children’s pools are quite slippery, so you had to be careful. By 2023, no maintenance had been realized. In addition, very no showers are available to freshen up. And men should wear tight swimming shorts.
If you crave something sweet or a drink, you can buy it at the pool bar. There is also a small terrace.
There is also a spa and wellness center at the campground. There is a sauna and hammam and several Jacuzzis where you can relax. And there is a beautician where you can book fine treatments. If you feel like a massage, that is possible here. And if you want a new haircut, visit the hair salon. And all without leaving the campground!
There is said to be a good restaurant at the campground, Le Comptoir des Saveurs where you can go for Mediterranean food. However, in season 2023 this restaurant was closed, but you were not informed about this. Fortunately, you had other options in the food court, but so there was no restaurant. At the food court, you have a variety of dishes to choose from for takeout, including delicious pizzas, pastas and burgers. There is a very large terrace where you can eat the food directly, but of course you can also take it with you to eat it at your own accommodation. There is also a very large ice cream parlor at Camping Domaine de la Yole. Here you order the most delicious ice creams, shakes, slush puppies, crepes and waffles. The ice creams were pricey, though. And for the real gourmet, there is a separate fresh fish and oyster bar where you can buy delicious fresh fish and oysters.
There is a large bar at the campground with a large terrace where you can go throughout the day for a nice cup of coffee or a cold drink. This is also where the evening shows take place. At the pool bar, buy a nice ice cream or a drink. There is also an Irish pub, O’Pub, where they offer several types of beer, rum and whiskey.
At the Domaine de la Yole Le Caveau Winery, taste wines from its own vineyard. It is possible to book wine tours and wine tastings here. Nothing like knowing where the wine comes from and tasting it right away. Of course, you can buy bottles of wine to take home. This can also be done in reusable bottles thanks to the fun tap system. The Cavaeau is just outside the campground and is a short 10-minute walk.
It is not possible to be bored at Camping Domaine de la Yole. There is an active animation team that organizes many activities. Think children’s theater, shows and cooking classes. At the craft club, children can draw and paint.
Of course, various sports activities are organized, for young and old. For example, there are aquarobics classes in the pool, as well as various dance classes such as Zumba, salsa and hip-hop. There are also yoga classes and stretching classes. You can additionally participate in water polo matches in the pool.
Every day children can dance along during the mini-disco. Homy, the mascot, also dances along. However, it lasts less than 30 minutes and there is also a lot of talking in between so there is very little real dancing. Only French is spoken, so your children may not understand. Afterwards, children can have their picture taken with Homy. For teenagers, there is a separate entertainment program with a number of activities aimed specifically at this age group.
High-quality shows are organized in the evening. These include a professional Tahiti dance show, cabaret and game nights.
Note that the animation team is mainly French-speaking and speaks little to no English.
There are several sports facilities at the campground. There is a multi-sport court for soccer, volleyball and basketball. It is located in the central square of the campground. It is always well crowded here, which makes sense since there is only one field available for such a large campground. Next to it are the four colored table tennis tables and a few meters away is a nice beach volleyball court.
There are two tennis courts for adults and there are even two mini-tennis courts for children. In the months of May, June and September this is free, in July and August you pay €3 for 1 hour and €5 for 2 hours of play. You can rent rackets for free at the Loca Club. Between the pool and the sports field are a few outdoor fitness machines that you can use for free. In the central square there is a small playground with a play boat with slide. There are also two swings. And there is a water fountain where the children can play.
At the Gamezone and Local Rental Shop you will find the very extensive game hall. This is the walhalla for children with many types of games, vending machines and games. Think pinball machines, pool tables, air-hockey tables, basketball machines and grab-and-go machines. Next to the game hall is a go-kart track where children can ride a small scooter. You will also find the mini golf course here, as well as the trampolines (all for a fee). If you would like to rent a bike during your stay, to take scenic bike rides or to get around the campsite faster, you will find the bike rental next to the game hall. In addition, bocce courts are available at the campground. If you love to dance, that’s convenient. Various dance classes are organized by the animation team. And if you still want to go out at night, visit the nightclub at Camping Domaine de la Yole. You’ll find it on the large central terrace, next to the large bar.
However, for the size of the campground, we did find what sports and play facilities were disappointing, including only one sports field and a few swings and a slide. There are also no playgrounds across the campground where children can play, which is a missed opportunity.
Right next to the campsite there is an adventure park Pangaea where you can follow a climbing course at a height of 9 meters. This is a really cool park where all ages can be challenged. After an introductory route, you can choose from several routes, with a clear difference in difficulty. Slide down one of a whopping 17 cable cars and put your fear of heights to the test. The grounds are incredibly large and there are plenty of places to sit and eat (tip: bring your own food). There is also a very large play net in the sky and a BMX track. Or follow the scavenger hunt laid out across the grounds. From the campsite there is a direct entrance to the park (at the back of the campsite) and you get a 2 euro discount as a campsite guest.
Because Camping Domaine de la Yole is a small vacation village, you don’t have to leave the campground if you don’t feel like it. Everything you need can be found at the campground. There is a large supermarket with a wide selection. Vegetables, fruits, preserves and local specialties: you’ll find it all there. Tap your own wine and choose a nice fresh sausage to go with it. There is also a butcher shop with fresh meat. You have an awful lot of choice of fresh meat here, whether marinated or not and suitable for the barbecue/griddle.
If you like fish, buy fresh fish at the fish store. And at the bakery you get delicious fresh (baguette) bread and various sweet breads every day. In the large bazaar you will find everything you need for a relaxing vacation, including beach items, clothing and souvenirs. It is also a bookstore with newspapers, magazines and books. At Trésors d’occitanie they sell all kinds of local regional products.
At La P’tite Cave you buy the wine from its own vineyard. In the wine cellar, just outside the campground, you can taste the in-house wines. This is a very nice addition to the campground.
Local market stalls are also set up weekly between the supermarket and bazaar. Here you can buy nice souvenirs and delicious fresh delicacies.

Dogs are allowed at this campground and are allowed in many rental units. Check if this applies to your chosen accommodation.
There is a car wash as well as charging stations for electric cars. These are free, but you have to pay a deposit of 100 euros for the badge you need for this.
In high season, a doctor is present at the campground.
The campground has its own app with all the information you need about the campground and where you can make reservations, among other things. In season 2023, this app was not very current and contained little information. In addition, the campground does not have an information booklet available.
An ATM is available; it is located right outside the campground at the side exit to the beach.
