Camping Le Brasilia is a great 5-star Yelloh! Village camping in the south of France. This is the place to be for a relaxing vacation in a beautiful campground. The campground is so beautifully landscaped with lots of greenery and blooming flowers, it’s like being in a botanical park. You can taste the tropical atmosphere throughout the campground, such as in the amazing water park with several pools. You can relax in the spacious wellness center and walk straight to the fine sandy beach on the Mediterranean Sea. Camping Le Brasilia is great for families with young children, but all ages will have fun at this top-notch campsite. Indeed, there is much to experience and discover and is well worth its 5 stars. At this fantastic campground, you will lack nothing.
Camping Le Brasilia is located near the village of Canet en Roussillon in southern France. It is a modern coastal town and is the second largest city in the Pyrénées-Orientales after Perpignan. Thanks to the long sandy beach, many tourists visit this region every year. The village is lively thanks to the stores, restaurants, bars and nightclubs present. Next to the campground is pleasure port Port Canet. Note that you almost always need the car if you want to go somewhere. Several bicycle routes start from the campground, so bring your bike or rent one at the campground. In high season there are even 50 to 100 km long bike rides organized by Camping Le Brasilia’s cycling club! This way you will discover the eastern Pyrenees in a very sporty way.
There are many villages and towns to visit during your stay at this campground. The historic capital Perpignan is about 12 kilometers from the campsite and is famous for its Catalan atmospheres and its 13th-century fortress. In addition, you can visit the cozy Collioure, a tourist village with an old center on the edge of the sea on the beautiful côte Vermeille. Be surprised by the city of Narbonne and stroll through this historic city. Also visit the indoor market hall Les Halles, you’ll feast your eyes!
Recently there has been an aquarium in Canet, ONIRIA. Thanks to a fun interactive route, you will learn all about the water world. You can spot flamingos in Lake Canet Saint Nazaire and many castles in the immediate vicinity of the campground. A fun outing for families is a ride on the famous Yellow Train. You will take a spectacular 63-kilometer ride through the Catalan Pyrenees, which starts in Villefranche-de-Conflent.
Because of its southern location, a visit to Spain is also possible. If you have always wanted to visit the metropolis of Barcelona, it is possible from this campsite. But you have to be in the car for it, as it is 200 kilometers south from Camping Le Brasilia. See the Sagrada Familia, stroll the Ramblas and visit Camp Nou, FC Barcelona’s soccer stadium.
At Camping Le Brasilia, you still have a wide range of very spacious pitches. If you want to book a camping spot at this campground, you have to be on time: the camping spots are quickly fully booked in high season! All camping sites are on grass and have drainage gutters for rain.
There are three different pitches, namely:
– Beachfront pitches: this pitch is 100m2 or larger and can accommodate up to 6 people. You are less than 200 meters from the beach. It includes 10A of electricity, as well as a water line and sewage disposal. Dogs are welcome here.
– Pitch 200-400 meters from the beach: these pitches are located in the pine forest and are delimited by hedges. They are 100 m2 or larger and can accommodate up to 6 people. They are connected to 6- or 10-amp electricity. Furthermore, you have water connection and a water drainage point. Your dog is also welcome here.
– Pitch: this is the smallest pitch of about 80m2 in size. They are located in the pine forest and are bordered by hedges. Again, you can accommodate up to 6 people and 10 amp electricity is included. Your dog is also welcome.
There are as many as 8 bathroom facilities that are cleaned throughout the day. The plumbing is very luxurious and of high quality. The cabins are spacious and modern. There are also hair dryers available. If you are vacationing with a baby, you can use the specially equipped room for babies equipped with baby bathtubs and changing tables. There are also facilities for the disabled.
A laundromat is available with washing machines and tumble dryers. You can also rent irons there.
More than 250 rental accommodations can be found at Camping Le Brasilia. All mobile homes have air conditioning and a terrace. Almost all accommodations have natural shade. However, pets are not welcome there. You can rent the accommodations through Allcamps, VacanceSelect and LuxCamp. We will describe them below:
– Azure A/C: this mobile home can accommodate 6 people, is 32m2 and has 3 bedrooms.
– Azure A/C suitable for wheelchair: this mobile home is 30m2, can accommodate up to 6 people and is wheelchair friendly. There are 2 bedrooms.
– Azure Vista A/C: this mobile home is 30m2, has 3 bedrooms and can accommodate 6 people
– Azure XL: this spacious mobile home is 40m2, has 3 bedrooms and can accommodate 6 people.
– Comfort A/C: the size is 24m2 and it can accommodate up to 6 people. There are 2 bedrooms.
– Comfort Vista A/C: also this mobile home is 24m2, can accommodate 6 people and has 2 bedrooms.
– Riviera860-3 A/C CD: this is a spacious mobile home of 34m2 and has 3 bedrooms. It can accommodate up to 6 people.
– Riviera900: this mobile home is slightly larger and measures 36m2. Also here are 3 bedrooms and can accommodate 6 people.
– Grand750-2 A/C CD: this 30m2 mobile home has 2 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 6 people.
– Grand860-2 2B A/C CD: the mobile home is 34m2, has 2 bedrooms for up to 6 people.
Camping Le Brasilia has an amazing water park as large as 6000 m2. The “Archipel” water park features tropical décor. Thanks to the palm trees, waterfalls, rock formations and wooden bridges, you feel like you are on a tropical island. There are several, heated, pools, each with its own function. So you have a special pool for swimming laps, there is a lagoon pool with a couple of slides and a hydrotube. The separate paddling pool has water games and there is a hydrotherapy pool. There you can enjoy hydromassage beds, powerful jets and bubble beds to relax. Because it is a large water park, you should be aware that it is a bit less orderly. The pool is surrounded by sunbeds and umbrellas. Please note that you cannot consume food and drink by your lounger. Furthermore, bermuda shorts are not allowed with the boys. The pool is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
If you love the beach, you will also be right at Camping Le Brasilia: in fact, the beach is right next to the campsite! You walk straight from your rental accommodation or camping spot onto the fine warm beach of Sardinal by crossing the campsite. Take a refreshing dip in the sea or relax on your towel. The kids will have fun building sandcastles! During the summer season, lifeguards are present. However, there is no beach bar where you can buy a drink or ice cream. And water shoes may not be a luxury. If you take your dog on vacation, there is a separate area where dogs are welcome.
If you want to relax and unwind even more, take advantage of the wellness center “Papillon Spa” at the campsite. This luxury center is a place where you can enjoy and recover from all the hustle and bustle. There is a spa pool, hammam and a large Jacuzzi for bubbling. In addition, you can book massage and beauty treatments and you can get a manicure and pedicure. There are even special treatments for your teenagers! When the kids are playing at the mini-club, you and your partner can enjoy a duo treatment, such as a massage. That’s real vacation!
Of course, you can also enjoy good food while on vacation at Camping Le Brasilia. There is a restaurant where you can taste the delicious dishes of the region. In addition, you can eat the most delicious pizzas at the pizzeria. And save a spot for a fresh scoop of ice cream from the ice cream parlor: with over 30 flavors to choose from, there’s sure to be an ice cream you like.
In the water park you will find snack bar Kaz Kreol for a tasty salad or burger. At the bars sip a nice cool drink or cocktail.
If you prefer to eat at your own accommodation, you can pick up food from the snack bar, restaurant and caterer.
There is no shortage of entertainment at this vibrant campground! At Camping Le Brasilia, fun activities are organized throughout the day in which young and old can participate. There are three different kids clubs, one for each age group. The Club Kids organizes games, creative workshops, bingo and the famous children’s show for children ages 5 to 7. Once a week the children’s performance “Mini Show” takes place where the children can show their dancing or singing skills. In the Club Juniors, 8- to 12-year-olds can participate in various workshops, scavenger hunts and olympiads. The clubs are open Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. and 4-6 p.m.
The Teens Club organizes all kinds of cool activities for teens ages 13 to 17 only during the high season. Six days a week, teens can participate in afternoon sports tournaments, laser game, bubble bump, escape games and climbing activities. There are also special party nights for teens such as Fluo and Foam nights. Teenagers can also go to the disco at the campsite: here they can party and dance between 10 p.m. and 1:30 a.m. The disco is open to those over 15. In the village of Canet en Roussillon you will also find several nightclubs and discotheques where you can go crazy until the early hours.
For other campers, entertainment is organized every evening. These evening shows are famous at the campground! It hosts dance nights, various performances and live concerts.
During the day, adults can participate in Aquabike (spinning bikes in the water), aquagym, various fitness classes, yoga classes and stand-up paddle classes. So boredom is really impossible here!
If you are a sports enthusiast, then Camping Le Brasilia has a lot to offer you. Of course, there is a soccer field but also a soccer cage. There is also a tennis court to hit a ball and a (beach) volleyball court. You can also do archery, and you can do cardio and strength training in the gym. There is even a climbing wall at the campground. Boules is abundant thanks to a very large bocce court. In fact, it is a tradition here and tournaments are organized daily. Scattered around the campground you will also find several playgrounds, bouncy castles and ping pong tables. The game room has billiards, pinball machines and video games.
There is a botanical trail around the campground that you can hike. Furthermore, several bicycle routes also depart from the campground.
Around the campground there is a wide choice of activities you can enjoy. How about canyoneering/rafting, scuba diving and fishing? Or do you want to learn to kitesurf? Paragliding and horseback riding are also some of the activities you can do. Just like sailing. About 30 kilometers from the campground you will find a golf course.
Camping Le Brasilia has a real shopping plaza with several stores for all your needs during your vacation. You don’t have to leave the campground if you don’t want to. Of course, there is a supermarket for daily groceries. There is also a good bakery for the tastiest fresh rolls, croissants and pastries. At the greengrocer you buy fresh vegetables and fresh fruits. You will also find a caterer for tasty dishes and a veritable wine cellar for the finest, local, wines. By the way, they also offer wine tastings!
In the boutique you can shop clothes and jewelry, and at the “Presse et Plage” you can find the daily newspaper, postcards and magazines. If you want to get your hair done during your vacation, there is even a hair salon you can go to. Note that most stores are closed at noon. About a 7-minute drive away you will find the first big supermarket, if you want to do big shopping.
