Camping Villaggio Turistico Isamar is a 5-star vacation park located south of the lagoon of Venice and is equipped with all comforts. Set amidst all the greenery and right on the beach, it covers some 33 acres. With eight swimming pools, the campground has a very extensive water park, with multiple slides, a private beach and has entertainment as the beating heart of the place. This vacation park caters to everyone from the youngest to the elderly. Please note that this is a vacation park, with no camping sites.
This campground is an ideal base for exploring this beautiful area. Just a few kilometers away is the town of Chioggia, also called “Little Venice. The town is significantly less touristy than the real Venice, but still has the same magic, splendor and beauty. Be sure to visit the picturesque fish market there, or take a boat trip along the canals, to the island of Pellestrina. Speaking of islands, in the lagoon north of the city of Venice are Torcello, Murano and Burano. These are also built with the characteristic Venetian style. This unique piece of the world ends up encompassing more than just the city of Venice, although, let’s face it, this magical city is also more than worth going to see. Also fine cities nearby are Padova, Vicenza and Treviso.
Camping Villaggio Turistico Isamar offers only accommodations, you cannot come here with your own caravan or tent.
Camping Isamar offers several types of bungalows and mobile homes, with different sizes and furnishings. So you can make it as crazy and as austere as you want here, but it is certain that each cottage is of the level you would expect from a 5-star vacation park. There are some 130 designer apartments in all, all finely located near the beach and the park’s restaurants. Pay a little attention to which location of your cottage you want to rent: there is place where the garbage is collected. Besides the smell this gives, there is also a lot of noise here in the morning due to the pick-up services. Small chance, but forewarned counts for two; it would be a shame if this disturbed your peace of mind. By the way, such a lagoon and natural park also attracts many mosquitoes. This vacation park has excellent control over this, but it cannot be ruled out that you may suffer somewhat from this stinging insect.
This campground has as many as eight swimming pools and this one has an area of about 500 square meters. From the pool you have a view of the sea, which is also a few meters walk away. The pools have different depths, so the little ones can play there safely. The multiple slides promise adrenaline, with sensational turns and steep slopes. Around the pool is ample space to enjoy the sunshine. Catering services are available. If you book accommodation, you get at least two free spots to lie here.
Of course, the sea itself is also an attractive option. There is a lifeguard on duty, which naturally increases the sense of safety. The soft sand is fine and the sea slopes slowly, making it a wonderful place to enjoy the water. There are also plenty of sports opportunities here, such as sailing, canoeing, windsurfing and diving. Dogs are welcome here, by the way, just like in the campground. There they can play in the Agility Camp.
There are several restaurants housed at this resort, so there is something for everyone. The guiding principle is: local products are used, such as mussels, venus clams, artichokes, various types of fish and melons. Although Italian cuisine is the main staple, you can certainly find some more international cuisine here as well. In addition, two ice cream bars can be found, serving typical Italian ice cream. So you don’t have to leave the campground for a good meal; it goes without saying that you can also pick up meals at these restaurants. There are, of course, several restaurants in the area for much-needed variety.
The campground itself calls the entertainment the “beating heart” of the resort, and there’s a lot to be said for that. Plenty of games, tournaments and sports activities are organized. You can take classes in swimming, tennis and archery. The fitness tent hosts classes in step, gag and zumba. There is a mini-club for the littlest ones, where crafts, cooking and the basics of magic are taught. For slightly older children, there is a skateboard track, a race track and a disco. This one is actually for the 16+ crowd, but anything younger will also be let in. Of course, there are also playgrounds and a game room. In the evenings, there are performances.
In terms of sports and recreation, this is a place where you certainly don’t have to sit still. There are four tennis courts, an 18-hole mini-golf course, a soccer field, a basketball court, a volleyball court. The children can go to the children’s playground, there are inflatable castles, there is a fun park with cars and merry-go-rounds.
At the vacation park you will find a real shopping center, with a supermarket, a bazaar, a boutique, a newspaper and book store, a hairdresser and a beauty salon. Not far from the campground is a branch of Lidl, for some larger groceries.
In Chioggia there is a diving center, where you can get your PADI diving license. Here you are in an enchanting natural area; the rocks of the northern Adriatic are truly natural reefs. You won’t find corals here, but crust-forming, calcareous, coral-like red algae. The area of this marine park is about 35 square kilometers and underwater you will find plenty of living organisms. There is a fishing ban here, which of course significantly increases the chances of catching some nice fish. Take a diving excursion to the open sea, where you will look for underwater shipwrecks. Among other things, you will find the trading ship Eudokia II. This freighter sank in 1991 after a collision and measures one hundred meters long and twelve meters high. The ship is now completely overgrown with marine flora and you can find fish, crustaceans and mollusks everywhere.
