Camping Eden is located on the western coast of Lake Garda and is surrounded by beautiful nature. There is a private beach (pebbles) with direct access to Lake Garda. Via the jetty you jump right into the crystal clear water! There are also two swimming pools at Camping Eden: one is located at the bottom of the campground and another, spacious, is at the top of the campground. The highlight of this campsite, however, is the view of Lake Garda: no matter where you are, you always have a wonderful view of Italy’s largest lake. You have such a beautiful view of Lake Garda because Camping Eden is a real terraced campsite: there is a lot of difference in height, so it can be quite steep in some places. Also, the stairs in the campground can be quite steep. Therefore, we do not recommend this campground if you are less agile.
Camping Eden is perfect for the vacationer who is looking for relaxation but also wants an active vacation. There is more than enough choice for fun outings and day trips in the area.
Camping Eden is a clean campsite and is surrounded by lots of greenery. Of course, its direct location on Lake Garda is great. From the campground you can walk straight to the pleasant village of Portese, where you can have a good meal in one of the restaurants. Or take the boat from the port of Portese to Sirmione or Rival del Garda. Both villages are highly recommended if you are vacationing at Lake Garda.
The picturesque village of Salò is also within walking distance (about 3 km). This is an elegant and luxurious resort on Lake Garda and possibly the most beautiful village in the entire area. You will find one of the most beautiful boulevards of the lake with a large selection of restaurants and cafes. Its historic landmarks, such as the two entrance gates dating back to 1463, Salò Cathedral and City Hall, are beautiful to see.
In the immediate vicinity of Camping Eden are many olive and wine tastings that you can visit. If you want a day out, we can recommend the cities of Brescia, Verona, Bergamo and Treviso. The fashion city of Milan can also be reached from the campsite. If you don’t mind spending a little longer in the car, even a day in Venice is possible.
Italy’s largest theme park, Gardaland, is only 40 km away. In addition, CanevaWorld is highly recommended. This water attraction park is 50 km from the campsite.
On the lower part of the campground you will find the pitches. The sites have a combination of grass and gravel and are about 60m2 in size. A maximum of 6 people are allowed on a pitch. Caravans can be up to 6.5 meters long (including drawbar), furthermore, campers can be up to 6 meters and tents of 6×5 meters. Included in the price is 6 amps of electricity and pitches also have a water outlet. Pets are welcome here.
If you prefer to rent accommodation during your vacation at Camping Eden, you have many choices. There are many different varieties of mobile homes available. From a somewhat simpler version to the most luxurious. You can also choose a mobile home with a lake view or a mobile home with the guarantee of a beautiful view of the sunset on the lake.
In addition to mobile homes, you also have a choice of bungalows, bungalow tents, apartments and lodge tents. Check the various providers for the complete range of rental accommodations.
Because the campground is directly adjacent to Lake Garda, you can enjoy swimming and playing in Lake Garda. You can reach the lake via the pebble beach. There is a large jetty in the water where you can dive right into the crystal clear water and which is an ideal place to play. On the (small) grassy lawn, enjoy the sun.
In addition, Camping Eden has two swimming pools. At the bottom of the campground you will find the first swimming pool with two slides and a rooftop terrace. At the top of the campground is the second pool, which is more spacious. Here too is a slide and here you will also find the splash pool (water playground) for the youngest vacationers.
Sun beds are available at both pools.
Please note that the pool at the top of the campground and splash pool may be closed in the off-season. In addition, the slides are not open all day. Wearing a swim cap is mandatory and swimming shorts are prohibited.
In the new restaurant you can eat delicious food. From the terrace, again, you have a beautiful view of Lake Garda. There is a pizzeria and they also offer several children’s menus. At the bar drink a nice cocktail. All the food can also be ordered as take-away and then eaten at your own accommodation.
Normally there is an animation team at the campsite that organizes all kinds of fun activities. However, since COVID, there has been little to no animation at the campground. This may change again in season 2023, but keep this in mind if this is important to you.
If you like sports activities, there are several options at Camping Eden. For example, there are playgrounds for the children. Table tennis tables and a multi-sport court are also available. The tennis court and soccer field are accessible for a fee.
The small arcade contains several gaming machines and a foosball table. There is also a billiards on site a TV room.
If you like water sports, this is the place to be. On the lake, of course, you can do all kinds of water sports. How about canoeing, sailing or surfing. But you can also dive or water ski there. Fun guaranteed!
At the campground, rent bicycles to explore the area by bike. And this is quite possible thanks to the more than 40 cycling routes around the lake, including routes for the whole family and mountain bike trails. They are even working hard to build a bike path around the entire lake. It is not yet finished, but many bike lanes are already completed.
There is a supermarket in the campground for your groceries. You can buy fresh rolls every day as well as fresh vegetables, basic supplies and (water) toys. At the liquor store you buy the tastiest Italian wines.
Dogs are allowed, you pay an extra fee per day for this. But this does not apply to all accommodations. Check carefully with the provider to see if you can bring your dog.
