The particularly luxurious Camping Piani di Clodia is located directly on Lake Garda, between the villages of Lazise and Peschiera del Garda. Through a promenade along Lake Garda and past numerous pizzerias and ice cream parlors, walk to the cozy center of Lazise, to discover “Italian life. The highlight of this campground is its no less than seven swimming pools, full of adventure and relaxation. Full of slides and saunas. You won’t be short of anything at this campground, with several fine restaurants and a well-stocked supermarket. The area lends itself to hiking or biking, as the most beautiful natural areas are nearby. And if you want a day out, world-famous cities like Verona and Venice are not far away. And within walking distance is Caneva Aquapark, if you need a change from the pools at the campground.
Italy, of course, is full of crazy areas and Lake Garda can safely be counted among the top of them. This campground is right on the lake, so it constantly offers you beautiful views. Over the lake, over the mountains, over the abundance of greenery in the area. Of course, there are several biking and hiking trails you can take. The natural parks really invite this and the sunshine will rarely be lacking. The lake itself also invites, of course. To swim in it, or to do some water sports activities. This campground gives you a great base to further comb the area. Close by is the quaint town of Lazise, full of Italian friendliness. The tourist cities of Verona and Venice are also not too far away and are a must visit.
Are you coming with your tent, camper or caravan? Here you don’t just get a spot. The normal pitches easily measure 90 square meters, and for an additional cost you can even have access to 153 square meters. Includes electricity, water supply and drainage, TV connection and wifi. You are close to the washrooms and close to the park’s attractions. The campground has two swimming parks, so it doesn’t matter too much where you are. Dogs are just allowed at this campsite, so they can also romp around Lake Garda.

Think: solar panels and sustainable insulation materials, but also think: beautifully situated in a green landscape, full of shade and fine privacy spots. As mentioned, Camping Piani di Clodia is all about the water park. Or better: The water parks, Virgilio and Catullo. There are a total of seven pools, with six spectacular slides. For the little ones, there are 12 slides and, of course, shallow spots. There are also four whirlpool zones, two rivers, two Magic Cauldrons and, above all, lots of surprises, such as saunas and more. This campground is known for its swimming pools, which are partly about adrenaline and partly about relaxation. Of course, around the pool you can relax on sun loungers and there are catering facilities to grab a well-deserved drink.
The campground also houses several restaurants, where you can enjoy Italian cuisine and a rich wine list. They offer first-rate, seasonal produce here, so this place is sure to be tasty. In addition, there is a take-away, to eat something right in front of your tent or in your bungalow. And several bars, ice cream parlors and a Teabar, where you can have a delicious cup of tea. Several restaurants can also be found on the promenade towards Lazise, as well as in the center of the village.
This campground offers plenty of entertainment. For young and old, from morning to night. The credo is: vacation means playing, learning and creating. And so there are sports tournaments, team and water games, crafts and plenty of creativity. In the Fun Academy, which is built like a veritable fortress, children will have the time of their lives. But there is also plenty of entertainment for adults, with evening entertainment and various group training sessions in the morning and afternoon in all kinds of sports. That evening entertainment could be theater, music, ballet, shows or musicals. In other words, it’s a surprise. But a guaranteed one.
In terms of sports, there are many facilities at Camping Piani di Clodia. A fitness room, gymnasium, soccer, tennis, basketball and beach volleyball courts. There are several certified trainers running around who are sure to teach you a thing or two. In addition to the tennis court, there is also the possibility of paddling. Or rent a bicycle and explore the area. Scattered throughout the campground you will also find several playgrounds for the little ones. Something that does lack somewhat is something for teenagers and adolescents. The campground is definitely fun for them too, but there is no place for meetings.
The campground has a supermarket with a sizable selection. Think bread, vegetables, fruits, meats, cheeses and more; in fact, you can find everything you need here. Of course, there are also many local products, such as olive oil and wine, so be sure to try something other than the ubiquitous sandwiches. The store also offers souvenirs, camping supplies and tobacco. There are several supermarkets in Lazise itself, including a Lidl. Might just be ideal for the slightly larger groceries.
On Lake Garda you will find several wonderful villages. To the south you will find the completely car-free Sirmione, with the famous Castello de Sirmione. Here you have a magnificent view of the lake. Don’t forget the caves of Catallus, either. During your walk to it, you will find several little beaches and an old church. Are you going to Lake Garda primarily for sports? Then visit Riva del Garda. Here you can enjoy sailing and winter sports, as well as hiking, cycling and mountain biking.
