Camping Etruria

Camping Etruria

Camping Etruria is in a wonderful place in Tuscany. Located in a wooded area of pine and fir trees, this campground offers many shaded areas. But the absolute trump card is the wonderful (private) beach and sea, which you can walk right to from the campsite. Imagine: the kids are playing on the beach while you enjoy a cocktail at the beach bar. You can do all that here!

Camping Etruria is a real family campsite and is very suitable for children up to about 12 years old. There is plenty to do and the animation team organizes all kinds of activities. For older children, there may be a little less to do. At a short distance from the campsite there is plenty to discover and you will find the most beautiful villages. If you love the delicious Tuscan wine, then Camping Etruria is also the right place for you: wine excursions and tastings are offered here in abundance. If you want to spend a day in Pisa, Lucca or Volterra, that’s also perfectly doable. And the Cavallino Matto amusement park is almost next door, for a super fun day out.

About Camping Etruria

Location and environment

At Camping Etruria you will enjoy a not too large campsite playfully set up among pine trees. The campground is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Italy to explore on foot, by bicycle or on horseback. In fact, next to the campground is an equestrian center. If you prefer to explore the area by mountain bike, there are several routes you can ride.

In the area in summer there are many markets and fairs with local products, such as the fish market in San Vincenzo or the wine festival “Calici di Stelle.” If you love wine, the area around Camping Etruria is attractive anyway. Follow the ancient wine trails for one of the many wine excursions that end with a tasting by default. Like wine, this part of Tuscany also produces a lot of olive oil.

The cozy town of Castagneto Carducci is a 15-minute drive from the campsite and is definitely recommended. This medieval town lies among the vineyards and offers a beautiful panoramic view of the Tuscan hills to the coast, across the vineyards, olive groves and fields.

If you want a more active day out, Cavallino Matto amusement park is a must. This amusement park is the largest in Tuscany and is located almost next to the campsite. It’s fun for all ages: there are playgrounds, a water ride, big rides and as many as six roller coasters, including several children’s roller coasters. The Freestyle roller coaster, however, is the most spectacular: in this roller coaster you do not sit but have to stand, while traveling down the track at 100km per hour. The Water Coaster Jurassic River is also a beautiful and special roller coaster.

If you don’t mind driving a little further, we recommend the fantastic cities of Pisa, Lucca and Florence. Or how about the beautiful villages of San Gimignano, Volterra and Bolgheri. A day in Elba is even a possibility. A half-hour drive away is the town of Piombina from where you take the boat crossing to Elba. So plenty to do!
