Location and environment

Tuscany! Although Camping Montescudaio is located in the wooded hills, the fantastic Etruscan coast is five kilometers away. Day trips to the must-sees Pisa and Florence are also convenient, at 63 and 115 kilometers, respectively. But do not forget the picturesque typical Tuscan villages like Volterra, Massa Maritima and the beach at Vada. In other words, you don’t have to leave this campground for entertainment, but why wouldn’t you? Take the car or bike and taste all that Tuscany has to offer you.

Pitches

Camping Montescudaio is located in the green hills and offers plenty of shaded areas. There are two different types of pitches for your caravan, with plenty of space: you get about 80 square meters at your disposal. Should doubts arise as to whether your caravan or motorhome has enough power to get up these hills: a tractor is available to bring up your berth. This service is free of charge.

Accommodations

In terms of accommodations, Camping Montescudaio has a large selection, with the Greeny being the flagship. This mobile home is made entirely of eco-sustainable materials. The furnishings are sophisticated and elegant and are completely inspired by the wooded surroundings. There are seven different mobile homes at the campground, all with their own style, with different sizes and options. Because the campground is in a forest, you will always have shade. Everything else-the stores, the pools, the restaurants-are centrally located on the park.

Swimming

You don’t have to worry about swimming opportunities at this campground. The water park is immersed in a beautiful forest. For the little ones there is a paddling pool, and for the daring there are plenty of slides and good diving boards. A total of three pools can be found. In high season, however, it does happen that it can get very crowded here, but there is plenty to do outside the campsite as well. Of course, there is the crystal clear sea of Tuscany, about five kilometers away. Cecina and Follonica are home to spectacular water parks with plenty of adventure for all ages.

Restaurants

Camping Montescudaio promises you Tuscan tradition from breakfast to dinner. The pizzeria serves pizza and pasta made with local ingredients. Don’t feel like going to the restaurant and just want to eat with your family on your own patio? Then you can use the pickup service. For dessert, stop by the ice cream parlor, which serves real Tuscan, homemade ice cream.

Animation

There are many activities at Camping Montescudaio, for young and old. Plenty of games and workshops, mini-club activities, and parties every night. Older children can make new friends in sports tournaments and other group activities, or in the youth meeting place, the disco. One recommendation, though, is to make sure you don’t stay too close to the disco: it can be a bit noisy until the late hours. For adults, there are plenty of sports offerings, wine tastings and live music. The Amphitheater hosts shows every night, which end at 12:30. Almost everything is also in Dutch, which makes it especially attractive to young people.
