Camping Flevostrand is a Molecaten park and is located directly on the Veluwe Lake opposite Harderwijk. The campground is divided into two parts: a beach campground and an inland campground. At the beach campsite, you’ll camp right on the water and enjoy a beautiful view. If you like it better to be closer to the facilities, book a spot at the inner dike campsite. There is also plenty to do and experience at the campground. There is a nice outdoor pool with a separate paddling pool. Romp down one of the slides and take a rest on one of the chairs arranged around the pool. If the weather is not so good, you can go to the indoor pool. Molly and Caatje’s animation team organizes fun activities and otherwise the children will have fun in one of the playgrounds. Lake Veluwe is a great location for water sports enthusiasts. You can surf, sail, fish or have a nice swim. The campground has its own marina and therefore you can bring your own boat. All in all, there is plenty to do and experience for a top vacation.
Its unique location on the Veluwe Lake makes Camping Flevostrand a great location if you love water and water sports. Free water sports lessons are even offered for children up to 12 years old.
The varied and typical Dutch environment is easy to explore by bicycle or on foot. You will find beautiful dikes, diverse cities and cozy villages. In addition, Harderwijk, Walibi Holland, the Dolfinarium and the VOC replica Batavia are nearby and are well worth a visit.
As mentioned earlier, at Camping Flevostrand you can choose between two campsites: on the beach or inside the dike. The central facilities such as the indoor and outdoor swimming pool and restaurant are close to the camping sites on the inner dike. All pitches are spacious and located in open camping fields. There are two types of camping spots to book at the inner dike campground. The Comfort camping spot is a spacious spot with 10 amp electricity, sewage connection and a CAI TV connection. There is also a Comfort Pitch Pet Field where you can bring your pet. The Beach Camping Pitches have the same pitches, but instead of 10 amp electricity, here you have 6 amp and thus the choice of a Pet Field or not. And, of course, you are right on Veluwe Lake.
If you want to go to Camping Flevostrand but don’t have your own camping equipment, there is plenty of rental accommodation to choose from. There are several chalets you can rent that are nicely decorated and have a nice terrace. They are available in 4- and 6-bed versions and pets are allowed.
There are also two different mobile homes for rent. If you want to stay with two people, book the 2-person accommodation the Meerkoet of 16m2. This caravan is also ideal for cyclists passing through. For 6 people rent the Grebe, a spacious and luxurious mobile home of 36m3 and 3 bedrooms. Pets are also allowed here.
In addition, the campground also offers Camping Cabins. You have the atmosphere of a tent but with comforts like fixed beds and an equipped kitchen (with dishwasher). For shower and toilet use the sanitary building at the campsite. Dogs are not allowed.
With the Veluwe Lake next to your tent (if you like!), you can rightfully call this campground a water campground. You can swim, dive and, of course, practice many water sports.
In addition, Camping Flevostrand also has a lovely outdoor pool with a separate paddling pool. And if that’s not enough, you can compete with the family to see who gets down one of the four slides first. The pool is well fenced so that young children cannot just get close to it.
Now should the weather be less nice, you can visit the indoor pool, with a fun water slide and water mushroom. There is also a large separate paddling pool where your child can have fun with the playground equipment.
At the Restaurant Zuid Zoet Zout you will enjoy a beautiful view of the Veluwemeer and also eat delicious food. The trendy decor and tasty dishes on the menu ensure that you can enjoy a nice lunch or dinner or tasty drinks here. Children have also been thought of with a separate children’s menu.
During the summer months, there is also a pop-up pizza & pasta restaurant at Camping Flevostrand. There are several entrees to choose from, a variety of pizzas and pastas and some desserts. You can also order tasty appetizers as well as delicious drinks and cocktails.
Also at Camping Flevostrand, the cheerful mascots Molly and Caatje from Molecaten parks are part of the animation team. During the summer and autumn vacations there is a varied entertainment program with craft mornings, mini-disco, sports and games. Children can enjoy two fun Molly & Caatje shows. Beforehand, they can listen to the show music via Spotify and sing along at home. There are also coloring pages and a Molly & Caatje memory game available for download on the website, making for extra vacation anticipation!
Camping Flevostrand is a true family campground, so there is plenty to do for children (and adults). There are nice playgrounds in the camping fields, but in addition there is also a large playground. On the air trampoline they can bounce their energy off, and if not, they will succeed on the panna and basketball court. In addition, you can play tennis, there is a bocce court and a miniature golf course. In less nice weather, children can use the indoor playground.
Unique to the campground, of course, is its own marina. Bring your own boat or rent a (sailing) boat there. If you have always wanted to learn to sail or surf, sign up at the sailing school. Children under 12 can take a free trial lesson in one of the water sports. On the Veluwe Lake you can practice numerous water sports and will provide hours of water fun.
The campground has its own Spar supermarket where you can go for your daily groceries. Of course, you can also buy daily fresh rolls and treats here.
In Harderwijk you will find several supermarkets such as the Albert Heijn and Jumbo. Harderwijk also has a lot of other nice stores and boutiques where you can go for all your other shopping needs.
Various excursions are offered in high season.
