Camping TerSpegelt is a 5-star campsite located in the middle of the beautiful nature reserve of the Brabant Kempen. This true family campsite has already received several awards, including ANWB campsite of the year. And that’s not surprising, because there is so much to do and experience here that you will probably run out of time. These include the unique SterrenStrand: an indoor water and sand play paradise with an 8-meter-high climbing and scrambling castle. There are also several recreational lakes, an indoor pool and lots of playground equipment. The animation team organizes fun activities for young and old. By the way, Camping TerSpegelt is a real teenage campsite. There is a lot to do for this age and there is a special HangOut for teenagers, where they can chill, play music and games.
Despite being a large campground, it is uncluttered. The friendly staff is happy to talk to you and help if needed. There is also plenty to see and do in the area, if you manage to get your kids off the campsite.
Camping TerSpegelt is located in the Brabant village of Eersel, with the beautiful nature reserves of the Brabant Kempen in the backyard. Opposite the campsite is Natuurpoort TerSpegelt where you can make beautiful walks and bike tours. There are many hiking and biking trails available that you can pick up at the campground reception.
Discover the villages belonging to the that belong to the Eight Beatitudes. There are many attractions such as the cheese farm De Ruurhoeve where you can watch the cows and calves, enjoy delicious local produce on the terrace and tour the cheese farm. Of course you bring a piece of cheese to eat at the campsite. Or visit the goat farm where there are all kinds of things to do.
If you want to go shopping, explore the cities of Eindhoven and Tilburg. Furthermore, the great (amusement) parks the Beekse Bergen, the Efteling, Bobbejaanland and Plopsa Indoor Hasselt are also not far from Camping TerSpegelt.
You can camp here by the water, on a cozy field or among the greenery. There are over five hundred camping sites and as many as seven different types of pitches. The different spots are explained in more detail below:
– Pitch with private sanitary: these very spacious pitches of min. 120m2 have their own sanitary unit with a shower and toilet and they are located near the water. They offer plenty of peace and privacy. The pitch has vor 16 ampere electricity connection and has a TV connection.
– Pitch with private sanitary plus: this new pitch of min. 120m2 has a private sanitary unit with shower, toilet and separate washroom. You have a view of the swimming or recreational lake. It includes 16 amp electric hookup and you park at your pitch.
– Luxury pitch: this pitch is between 100 and 120m2 in size, is located by the water and includes 8 ampere electricity connection (possibility to raise). There is water supply and drainage and a TV connection. This pitch is very suitable for RVs.
– Comfort camping pitch: the pitch is about 100m2 in size and has plenty of space and is close to the facilities. It comes with 6 amp electrical hookup, water supply and drainage and a TV hookup. This pitch is also great for RVs.
– Comfort camping pitch children’s field: this camping pitch has the same facilities as the comfort camping pitch (approx. 100m2, 6 amps, water supply and drainage, TV connection), but is especially for the little ones with a playground in the middle of the field. In addition, the sanitary building with children’s bathroom is close to the field. Only families with children up to 6 years old can reserve these places.
– Basic pitch: these are the most basic pitches and are about 80m2 in size. It includes 6 amp electric hookup and the pitch is centrally located in the courtyard. Please note that caravans larger than 6 meters (including drawbar) are not allowed here.
– Basic camping pitch children’s field: the pitch is about 80m2 in size, has 6 ampere electricity connection and shares a water point in the field. But in addition there is a playground on the field and the pitch is close to the sanitary building with children’s sanitary. Only families with children up to 6 years old can reserve these places. Please note that caravans larger than 6 meters (including drawbar) are not allowed here.
There are several bathroom facilities in the campground. There is also separate children’s bathroom facilities. The buildings are all very well cleaned and so it looks neat. In the laundry you can wash and dry your clothes. This is available 24/7 and you pay there with your debit card.
If you prefer to rent accommodation, you have room to choose at Camping TerSpegelt. For example, there are several mobile homes for rent, with or without air conditioning and wooden verandas. Glamping is a very good choice at this campground, however, as there are super cool glamping tents available. How about the Waterlodge: here you camp with up to 8 people ón the water in a luxury safari tent with a bathroom. The Glampinglodge also has a private bathroom and a view of the water. You can stay here with up to 7 people. Or how about the Lakeview lodge: this is waterfront glamping for 5 or 8 people, including your own bathroom and a hammock. In the Outback lodge, you even have your own dishwasher! There are two floors where you can sleep up to 6 people and the children sleep in a box bed. The Funlodge is a 6-person safari tent and has a private bathroom, a swing set and a bed box. In the Loungelodge you have your own bathroom in addition to a lounge sofa and picnic table. There are also the LuxeTent, the VerandaChalet, the Chalet and the Rental Caravan Plus. The very latest accommodation is the PanoramaChalet. This unique accommodation is right on the water with a porch and hanging net that floats above the water. There is a private dock, an awesome adventure kids’ room and in addition, you get to borrow a SUP for free during your stay and you can charge your car for free.
If you go to Camping TerSpegelt with a group, then the Bosvilla is ideal, because here you have as many as 6 sleeping campers at your disposal and a large garden.
Roan also has accommodations at Camping TerSpegelt. You can rent a super-luxurious Supreme Plus Lounge starcaravan, a Supreme Lounge or the Premium Lounge variant. You can book them with Roan, as well as through VacanceSelect, LuxCamp and Allcamps.
In addition, Eurocamp also has a wide range of mobile homes of which the Ultimate is the most luxurious and latest version. There are also a number of different Premium models present as well as the Comfort XL. You can book these mobile homes at Eurocamp, as well as through VacanceSelect, LuxCamp and Allcamps.
Suncamp offers the TerSpegelt Special mobile home, a luxurious and spacious mobile home suitable for 6 people.
If you love swimming, then Camping TerSpegelt is really a campsite for you! There is an indoor pool, an indoor water playground and several recreational lakes at the campground.
In the indoor pool, little ones can play in the separate paddling pool. There is a CanalPlay water attraction where toddlers and preschoolers sail through a canal in a boat. Of course, there are many water toys including a tumble barrel. There is also a large slide that you can slide down and then relax in the hot tub. Older children, and parents, can visit Hendrik’s pool for lots of water fun.
If the weather is nice, you can also enjoy outdoor swimming at Camping TerSpegelt in the various recreational lakes. In the swimming pool there is a large slide in the water. There is also a family slide and a water fountain. But floating on your airbed is, of course, also possible. On the beach you can sunbathe and the children can play in the (water) playground and jump on the air trampoline.
The largest recreational lake is the recreational lake. Here, in addition to swimming, you can practice various water sports and fish. Bring your own SUP (or rent one at the campground), or a rowboat and enjoy the water. You can also do that from a pedal boat that you can rent at the campground. If you want more excitement and thrills, BandRaften is a cool option. You sit in an inflatable tire and thunder across the water behind a speedboat. If you want even more spectacle, go blobby. You jump onto a huge inflatable pillow and you are launched into the water! Please note that the minimum age is 12.
You can have a nice dinner at Camping TerSpegelt. The Beach Pavilion De Wijde Blick is a cozy restaurant for the whole family. You can have lunch, drinks and, of course, dinner. For children, there is a play corner with children’s cinema. From the terrace you have a nice view of two of the three lakes. At The Emperor restaurant you will eat delicious dishes, including from the Josper grill oven. But having a cup of coffee with a piece of cake while sitting on the sunny terrace, or by the fireplace on the porch, is also possible there.
If you don’t feel like cooking but prefer to eat at your own accommodation, you can pick up pizza and ice cream at LekkerMakkelijk or get fries and snacks at snack bar LekkerSnacken. You can even have it delivered!
La Cantina has a bar where you can play darts, billiards and where they broadcast sports games.
At the campsite there is a very extensive entertainment program, for young and old. There are separate programs for children up to 8 years old, from 8 to 12 years old and for teens from 12 to 16 years old. Children are entertained with various discos by age group, foam parties, Frisbee games and, of course, sports tournaments. Little ones enjoy read-aloud stories or the Star Pajama Party. Teens can participate in drops, sports activities or chill together in the HangOut.
For adults, sports activities are organized, such as BootCamp or Zumba classes. But there is also a quiz, a raptor show and square festivals.
In addition to the entertainment program, there is so much more to do at Camping TerSpegelt. How about the unique Star Beach. This is an indoor water and sand play paradise where you can climb & scramble and play with water. Facilities include an 8-meter-high climbing and scrambling castle and an underground labyrinth. 40 cm high water. Parents can sit on the patio for a nice drink and snack.
At the Sports Square, you can play soccer, basketball, volleyball, tennis and much more. The grounds are also used for fun activities and tournaments. Next to the swimming lake is an air trampoline and there is a miniature golf course. If your child loves crafts, then the craft loft is a must. Here you can get creative with cutting, pasting and gluing.
There is a cool Pumptrack on site where you can explore the course full of bumps, turns and hills with a BMX bike, Flybike, ATB or a scooter (with pneumatic tires). This is a super cool place where the kids can expend their energy. If they want even more cross-country, discover the bicycle cross-country track where you can ride your BMX bike. If you don’t have your own BMX bike, rent one at the campground, along with accompanying protection.
Teens can meet their peers in the Hangout where they can game, play music and chill. Foam parties, neon parties and silent discos are organized. Parents are not allowed there, only children between the ages of 12 and 16 are welcome!
We’ve mentioned blobbing, SUP’ing and BandRaften before. But there’s more: how about the 120-meter-long double zip line. You fly the two of them over the water. Younger children will absolutely love the petting zoo. There are several animals, such as goats, pigs and chickens. New to the campground is the corn maze where you must solve the Corn Mystery. In high season, an outdoor cinema is organized. Enjoy a cool movie from the comfort of your own camping chair.
Next to the campground, you can walk the Gnome Trail. Go in search of gnome men and women and take a nice walk through beautiful nature. The children will receive a gnome hat and a gnome bag with assignments for a small fee. In the area you can make wonderful bike tours, so don’t forget to bring your bike(s). Or rent them at the campsite.
There is a SPAR supermarket in the campground with a full range of products, including fresh rolls, meat, fish, vegetables and fruits. In addition, you can buy toys, reading materials and household items.
If you want to have all your groceries ready when you arrive at the campsite, order your groceries online from home and they will be ready for you when you arrive. Super practical.
If you prefer to go to a larger supermarket, you will find a Lidl, Aldi, Jumbo and a Plus in the village.
