Camping De Molenhof

Camping De Molenhof

Camping De Molenhof is located in the heart of Twente, close to the German border. This five-star family campground is especially wonderful for children: scattered throughout the park are 34 playgrounds and very nice swimming pools. With a very active animation team in the summer and plenty of adventure play equipment, this campground is well worth the effort. At the edge of the grounds is Mill The Four Winds, which you can see operating in good weather. There is an awful lot to see and visit in the Reutum area.

Pitches

Camping De Molenhof has hundreds of camping sites. The grounds are divided and separated by trees. This layout is cleverly done; the campsite feels a lot smaller and thus more cozy than it really is, and every (children’s) attraction is therefore easily and quickly accessible. On some fields it is forbidden to come with your car, because that is where many children play. Good to know beforehand: do you want your car parked with you or is the parking lot actually sufficient? Scattered around the campground you will find plenty of sanitary facilities. Here and there you can even hear music during your visit. Free Wi-Fi can be used throughout the campground.

Swimming

In terms of swimming, children can have their fill here. Central to the campground are an indoor and an outdoor pool. Inside, it’s about 29 degrees and with a 45-meter-long water slide, adrenaline is guaranteed for the kids. Outside, there is a water play equipment with sprinklers, a bucket that keeps tipping over and a wide cow slide, so in warmer temperatures, coolness is always close at hand. On the other side of the campsite is the PlonsPlas, where you can play with water, sand and mud to your heart’s content. Here there is a cable car and a survival course, so for the real adventurers. These pools are only for overnight camping guests; you can only enter them with a pass you get at the reception.

Restaurants

An eatery, a snack bar and a pizzeria: in terms of food, you’ll be fine at Camping De Molenhof. The snack bar offers very many veg products in addition to the usual snacks. In these restaurants, anyway, a lot of consideration is given to all your dining needs. The downside at most is that these establishments do not open until two in the afternoon.

Animation

To get right to the point: animation is only offered in the summer, but when it is there, it is extensive and enthusiastic. From morning gymnastics to theater, or let your kids craft and challenge them to a Mollie diploma. Go to the Giga Kinderbingoshow, to the Selfie Challenge, to the Sportmix, the relay race, the Tropical Foam Party: in the summer months, you’ll be fine in terms of animation at Camping De Molenhof. Moreover, in good weather, the sails of Mill The Four Winds turn again and you can visit them. A small contribution is requested, for maintenance of the old structure.

Sports & Recreation

No less than 34 playgrounds spread throughout the campsite: the kids are going to have plenty of exercise. A whole new attraction on the field is Mollie’s Mud Mine. You purchase a package for just under six euros, on which you go to sift minerals and gemstones originating from all over the world into the water. The children thus become real treasure hunters.

There is also a soccer field, you can freegame, a beach volleyball court, table tennis tables, volleyball and a panna field. At the Speelerf you will find a huge range of playground equipment. Do you feel like fishing? In the Fish Pond, you have the opportunity. The pond is completely fenced with a fence, so there is no danger of your children falling into the pond in an unguarded moment. This fishing pond is completely free to visit. By the way, biking in the area is also a very nice sports outing.
