Camping Tamarit Beach Resort is a beautiful 4-star campsite on the Costa Dorada. This campground has been a household name for over 60 years and is a friendly family campground. And it lives up to its name, because it is a wonderful luxury resort where you can camp. The tropical gardens, fantastic sandy beach & clear sea and great sports facilities make this a super campground for young and old. The pool is surrounded by sunbeds where you can enjoy the sun and your playing children. The spray park is great for children of all ages and for parents who also want to rollerblade down the slides. It also has a great location with beautiful villages and towns in the area, culminating in the city of Barcelona an hour away.
Camping Tamarit Beach Resort oozes luxury. It has beautiful tropical gardens and palm trees blowing in the breeze. This clean and well maintained campground offers you a peaceful environment for a wonderful vacation. The wide sandy beach on the Costa Dorada, or Golden Coast, is accessible from many areas of the campground; some camping sites even have their own access to the beach! You have a direct view of the beautiful castle of the village of Tamarit, giving it a fairytale setting. If you prefer not to take your vacation by car, there are two airports nearby: Reus Airport and Barcelona Airport.
Highly recommended is a walk from the beach. The beach connects Tamarit with the beach of Altafulla, a cozy and typical Catalan village. The bus, which stops in front of the entrance to the campground. Takes you to the village in a few minutes. There are other beautiful beaches and coves in the immediate vicinity of the campground, such as La Mora beach, Cala Jovera bay and Bosc de la Marquesa beach. Because the campground is fenced and well secured, you will feel safe and free.
From the campground it is only 1 kilometer to the train station. There you can take the train to travel to the metropolis of Barcelona in an hour. Stroll along Las Ramblas, see the Sagrada Familía and visit the FC Barcelona stadium: there is so much to see and do that you will have to make choices! The beautiful Roman city of Tarragona is nearby. Known for monuments and ruins from Roman times, this city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Be sure to visit the world-famous Amphitheater with a beautiful seaside location. See the chapel of the Mare de Déu de la Roca with its breathtaking views.
The town of Salou is 15 km away and is fun to visit. If you want a day of thrills and excitement, then you must go to Port Aventura, Spain’s largest amusement park with more than 40 attractions. This amusement park is fun for the whole family.
Fortunately, Camping Tamarit Beach Resort also allows you to bring your own camping equipment. There are many camping spots scattered throughout the campground. The pitches are between 75 and 120 m2 in size, are separated by hedges and palm trees, and most pitches have (a lot of) shade. If you want the ultimate beach feel, book one of the Premium pitches with a private entrance to the beach. This is really enjoyable! If you like not having to walk to the sanitary building all the time, at this campsite it is also possible to book a pitch with a private bathroom.
Below we describe the different camp sites.
Pitch with private bathroom: these pitches have a private bathroom (with toilet, sink and shower), electricity, outdoor sink, refrigerator and BBQ:
– Medium: between 75 and 90m2 in size, near the sea and swimming pool
– Large: between 90 and 120m2, near the sea and the pool
– Preferred with private bathroom: these pitches have a private bathroom (with toilet, sink and shower) and are just one camping street away from the beach. They are 90-120m2 in size and come with a Premium Connection (this means they are equipped with a water point and drain, 16 amp electricity and a TV antenna connection (note: you need a Sucko-base cetac plug adapter).
Pitch Platinum: these pitches are right on the beach and have their own access to the beach. There is a private water supply and electricity. These spots do have a little less shade.
– Medium: up to 90m2, suitable for small and large tents, medium-sized campers and just big enough for medium-sized caravan.
– Large: 90 – 120m2, lots of space & shade, medium to large caravans, tent and medium and large campers.
Pitch Preference: these are shaded pitches and are close to the beach. They have a subsoil of sand/earth, have their own water point, 16 amps of electricity and dogs are allowed.
– Medium: up to 90m2, small and large tents, medium campers and just big enough for medium-sized caravan.

Pitch Standard: these pitches are located in the quietest areas of the campground, have a subsoil of sand/earth, a private water point, 10 amps of electricity and dogs are allowed.

Of course, the bathroom facilities are as you would expect at a luxury resort. There are six sanitary buildings which are modern and cheerful and, of course, very clean.
There is also a laundry room with washing machines and tumble dryers.
If you are looking for a campsite with modern mobile homes and bungalows, Camping Tamarit Beach Resort is the right place. Not for nothing did this campsite win the ANWB award for the Campsite with the Best Rental Accommodations in 2022! The campground therefore features a wide range of modern & playful mobile homes and bungalows. Almost all of them have a beautiful wooden veranda which is (partially) roofed. The campground has a lovely swimming pool where you can cool off and play. The pool is surrounded by sunbeds and the tropical gardens. There is also a separate, shallow, children’s pool where little ones can enjoy water fun. There is also a very nice spray park present with two slides. In the Jacuzzi, it’s time to relax. In high season it can still be crowded at the pool, fortunately you can always go to the beach.
Because gosh, what a wonderful beach is right next to Camping Tamarit Beach Resort! The lovely sandy beach invites you to make sandcastles or just lay down your towel for a moment of relaxation. In the clear water you can cool off and play with the waves. Also, don’t forget to bring your snorkel set, because you can see all kinds of fish swimming here! The water of the sea gets deeper rather quickly, keep this in mind with small children.
Furthermore, the sea is perfect for all kinds of fun water activities. Through the campground, you can rent kayaks to explore the Costa Dorada from the water. If you prefer quiet Stand Up Paddling, then rent a SUP. Windsurfing and kitesurfing are also possible, as long as you stay behind the yellow buoys. The animation team also organizes all kinds of fun activities in the water.
There is also a wellness center at the campground where you can book wonderful massages and body treatments. Prices start from 29 euros.
Dine with a view of the beach and the sea, the castle of Tamarit and a sea breeze. Sounds romantic, right? At this campground, it is possible at restaurant Brisa. If you want to enjoy tapas and cocktails as well as the sea and the view, La Terraza de Pepa is a good choice. This restaurant has a romantic terrace and the most beautiful views. At Brisa Snack, also on the beach, you can choose from Mediterranean dishes, tapas, fish and healthy breakfasts. Right with your feet in the sand and a cocktail in your hand is possible at La Mar de Copas. This beach bar provides the tasty drinks and fine music on the beach.
At the La Dolce Vita restaurant, enjoy lunch and/or dinner near the pool. If you want a drink between exercise, or while the kids are playing in the playground, Ovni is the place to be. Of course, there is also a Take-Away for the quick bite, and fresh ice cream, crepes and a coffee can be scored at the Ice Cream Parlor.
There is plenty to do at the campground. This is partly due to the very active and professional animation team. They organize fun activities and shows for young and old. There is a mini-club where children can decorate T-shirts and mugs, play games, get dance lessons, do crafts, help in the vegetable garden and much more.
For older youth and parents, there are many sports activities to participate in. How about a spinning or yoga class, zumba, aqua gym (even in the sea!), pilates or fitness led by qualified trainers? There are also kayaking and SUP activities to participate in.
In the evening, children can let loose during the mini disco. Then in the evening you can enjoy cool shows, cabaret & dance performances and flamenco dancers, among others.
There is a fantastic sports park at the campground with tennis courts, padel courts, a basketball and soccer field and an extensive fitness room. Everything is centered together. Many sports classes are also offered through the entertainment team, and otherwise you can get involved yourself.
For children there is also plenty to do, so there are many play opportunities. Around the pool and near the beach you will find two large playgrounds. There is a miniature golf course and a climbing course. Children can also enjoy playing at the inflatable castles and, of course, at the beach.
The area around the campground is fun to explore by bicycle, which again you can rent at the campground.
Did you know there is even an Escape Room at the campground? And super fun challenge for the whole family.
The supermarket at the campground has a wide selection for all your shopping needs. For delicious fresh bread and fresh croissants go to the bakery. And also for all the other goodies they offer there! At the Ice Cream Parlor, order freshly made scoop ice cream or a crepe. You can also come here for a cup of coffee. And in the souvenir shop you can buy nice souvenirs and beach supplies.
Camping Tamarit Beach Resort is a dog-friendly campground. You may bring your dog if you are on one of the camping sites. There is also a separate area where you can walk your dog and where it can play.
Charging stations for electric cars are available as is a car wash.
