If you go camping these days, it doesn’t have to be in a standard mobile home. The rental accommodations in campsites are becoming more and more beautiful, modern and luxurious. Think safari tents, tepees, tents on stilts, tree houses and even old school buses: just a sampling of the types of rental accommodations on campgrounds. And they often have their own kitchen and sometimes even a bathroom and air conditioning.
Camping is great, especially with (small) children. You won’t find the freedom and conviviality during a camping vacation anywhere else. But you would like to camp in a bit of luxury and perhaps also just a little bit different from the usual. Camping Château La Forêt (Vendée, France)
Camping Château La Forêt is a small four-star campsite near a beautiful 19th-century castle in the Vendée region. There is a wonderful water park with an outdoor pool, an indoor pool and cool water slides. There is also a restaurant, a pony club, you can fish and much more. Enjoy all modern facilities in an authentic atmosphere. Within walking distance you will find the typical French village of St. Louis. Julien des Les Landes and only 12 km away is the fine sandy beach. As icing on the cake, you will stay in a fantastic Bubble Tent, with toilet and possibly shower. Camping Isuledda (Sardinia, Italy)
Camping Isuledda is a 4-star Sandaya campsite. The campground is located directly on the beautiful beach with a crystal clear sea in northern Sardinia. The snow-white beaches and beautiful bays will not get boring. At the campsite, there are plenty of fun activities organized by the entertainment team. There is even a (soundproof) disco for the teens. But you can also snorkel, play beach volleyball and soccer. For parents, there is a wonderful wellness center at the campground, for example, for a relaxing massage. Sardinia is a great vacation island. Vacation park Beerze Bulten (Overijssel, Netherlands)
At the 5-star vacation park Beerze Bulten in Overijssel, you can enjoy top facilities. Young and old will have a great time in the Adventure Land water park with slides, water sprayers and massage jets. You can go bowling and there is a varied entertainment program with theater shows & musicals. They also have a large indoor playground, the Giga Rabbit Hole. This play paradise is literally underground and has ball pits, a craft room and a 10-meter-high net climbing park. Outside there is a swimming pond and a 10,000m2 playground with the Giga Rabbit Field as its centerpiece. The kids will have hours of fun here! Camping Lago Idro Glamping Boutique is located directly on the beautiful Lake Idro and has only been open since 2021. Vacation Park De Zanding (Gelderland, Netherlands)
If you are looking for a luxury vacation park in the Netherlands, then Vakantiepark De Zanding in Otterloo is a very good choice. The park is located in the middle of nature, within walking distance of the Hoge Veluwe National Park. There is a large swimming pond with playground and slide and there is also a very nice indoor pool. In school vacations, the animation team organizes all kinds of activities. High in the hills of Chianti lies Camping Glamping Resort Orlando. This is a family campground par excellence thanks to its playgrounds and extensive (Dutch) entertainment. There is also a beautifully landscaped water park with three pools including a lagoon pool, a slide and a waterfall. Beekse Bergen (North Brabant, Netherlands)
The Beekse Bergen is the safari park of the Netherlands and that includes special rental accommodations. Because you can also sleep among the wild animals here, or in a treehouse. Or rent one of several jungalows: extra luxurious, especially for children or for groups. There are of course safari tents for rent, a villa and different types of cabins in the forest or just overlooking the lake. You certainly won’t get bored here because in addition to access to the amazing safari park, you also get unlimited access to the Playland. In the park there is animation for the children, adapted to the jungle theme and you can eat delicious food in the restaurant. Camping Papillon Country Resort (Overijssel, Netherlands)
Camping Papillon Country Resort is located in the beautiful Twente countryside, making it a good base for hiking and biking in the area. This 5-star vacation park has an indoor pool, whose roof can be opened in nice weather. There is also a water spray park and a separate paddling pool for toddlers. You can also enjoy swimming and boating in the recreational pond. There is plenty to do at the campground, including tennis, golf and even a climbing wall. Camping Chateau des Marais (Loire Valley, France)
5-Star Camping Château des Marais is in a great location in the middle of the Loire Valley, just 700 km from Utrecht. Located on a beautiful 14-acre estate, the campground is still an attractive and small-scale campground. There are multiple (heated) pools, slides and an ocean of space. The children can enjoy playing here and can go out on their own, as the campground is clear and not too big. Several playgrounds are available and there is also entertainment for all ages. And if you’ve ever wanted to sleep in a real treehouse, this is the place to be! The Loire region is on the Unesco World Heritage List; therefore, there is a lot to see and do in the immediate area. This campground is also ideal if you don’t want to drive too far, or if you are passing through further south. Sandberghe (North Brabant, Netherlands)
Holiday park Sandberghe is a luxury holiday park in Uden, North Brabant. The park is located against the shifting dunes of Bedaf, in the beautiful nature reserve the Maashorst. At this vacation park you will completely relax. There is a lovely swimming pool, with separate paddling pool, a restaurant and children will have a great time in the playground or in the petting zoo. You can enjoy biking in the immediate area and then relax in the sauna. At the park you will find the most luxurious and special rental accommodations, such as the Kings Lodge, for example.
