Boating license in Croatia
If you take your own boat to Croatia, you will need a boating license for any boat, no matter how small. Be sure to bring your English-language boating license. In addition to this boating license, in many European countries you must also be able to show an ownership document. An ICP is one such proof of ownership: International Certificate of Pleasure Craft. In addition, in Croatia it is mandatory to bring a certificate showing that your boat is properly insured for damages to third parties. You request this certificate from your insurer. For Croatia, a Small Cruising License (ICC I) is sufficient if you stay close to the coast. If you want to sail further out, or have a motor or sailing vessel, then a Large Pleasure Craft License (ICC II) mandatory.
